14. The Foods
Basically, Korean traditional foods are based on Korean Royal Court Cuisine, as known as Surasang which is traditionally consumed at the royal court from 1392 to 1910 in Korea. Korean traditional foods usually various from season to season, for example Kimchi will be consumed during the winter and at the other side, Naengmyeon (cold noodle) is the best choice for the summer.

a. Bulgogi
Bulgogi always being the most popular grilled beef in Korea. It is made from prime cut beef and marinated with a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, pear juice, wine and other ingredients up to 2 to 4 hours for enhance the flavor. Bulgogi is usually served with lettuce which is used to wrap the slice of the meet along with some sauce, rice, other side dishes and eaten as a whole.


b. Kimchi
Kimchi is the must served foods for Korean or foreigner. Actually, Kimchi si made from fermented vegetables. They are various types of kimchi, such chinese cabbage, radish, cucumber and green chilies kimchi.


c. Beebimbab
Beebimbab is one of Korean traditional foods made from rice. Korean consume this dish in Lunar Calendar New Year as their tradition. Beebimbab literally means "mixed rice" which consists of plain rice topped with minced meat,vegetables, egg and Go Chu Jang.


d. Kimbab
As the most popular snack in Korea, everyone can find it easily in the street in Seoul. Usually it consists of the rice and strips of vegetables, egg, meat rolled in a dried seaweek sliced. Kimbab looks like quite similar with Japanese sushi. But they still have a difference. The differences between them are Japanese sushi rolls are minimal in ingredients and sushi rolls are usually just tuna or cucumber and eggs while Korean-style kimbap consist of variety of ingredients including meat and vegetables. Other than that, Kimbab doesn't contain any raw fish such as sashimi and kimbab usually dipped with soy sauce with sesame oil unlike Japanese sushi roll dipped with soy sauce and wasabi.


e. Samgyetang
It's kinda the real proof of Korean traditional food richness, what an unique culinary !! Actually in English, Samgyetang means chicken ginseng soup and it is served during the summer. Every Korean trust that it has the great nutrients to enhance our healthy during a hot summer in which we can be easily lost energy through excessive sweating.


f. Naengmyeon
Another unique Korean traditional foods, Naengmyeon or cold noodle also being the most popular culinary during summer. Normally Korean uses a thin and chewy buckwheat noodles with the cold soup and beef sliced as the main ingredients to make Naengmyeon. And there are vinegar and hot mustard served separately to add the special taste of the noodles.


g. Soju
Soju is distilled beverage native to Korea. Many people said that its taste is comparable to vodka. Traditionally Soju is made from rice, but now, many major brands replace rice with potato, barley, wheat, sweet potato and tapioca. Soju has the clear color and typically varies alcohol contents from about 20% to about 45%. We can find Soju in every bar, restaurant or traditional stall along Seoul street.



15. Hanbok
Hanbok is a traditional cloth in Korea. It is often characterized by the bright colors and simple line. Although the term literally means Korean clothing today hanbok often refers specifically to hanbok of Joseon Dynasty and is worn as semi-formal or formal wear during traditional festivals and celebrations. It's must be agree statement that hanbok makes everyone looks different. Not like the other traditional clothes, hanbok will make everyone who wears it looks so pretty cute.


Modern hanbok does not exactly follow the actual style as worn in Joseon dynasty since it went through some major changes during the 20th century for practical reasons. There are many designers use hanbok as their inspiration and the result is hanbok being more wearable than before. With the touch of great fashion sense, now, Hanbok also being must a have wardrobe for fashion addicts.



16. Love is Always in The Air
Seoul refers to love and that would the best reason why it always being one of the most romantic cities in the world. It's not kinda hard thing to find the romantic spots in Seoul. They even looks so perfect to be somewhere special to spread or express the love. For the examples, look at the uncountable love keys in Namsan Tower or a thousand love messages in 63 Building 60th Floor.


Not only them. When we make our way to Han River or Cheonggyecheon Stream we'll see so easily there are many couples spend their quality time with the beloved one. Cheonggyecheon Stream is also a popular choice for people wanting a memorable and romantic moment to proposing and do not worry, many event organizers offer their service to help the couples to make their unforgettable proposal day here or just imagine how perfect your Han Riverside wedding night will be.



As one of the most beautiful tourism cities, Seoul government or tourism department also uses a lot of romantic things to promote the city. They definitely want to make Seoul as a must visit city with so many memorable lovely things.
